Principles of Transparency, Integrity and Best Practice

1. Open Access Statement: 

Global Politics Reviewis an open access journal, which means that all its articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication. Non-commercial use and distribution in any medium are permitted, provided the author and the journal are properly credited.

2. Copyright and Licensing:

Authors publishing with Global Politics Review retain full ownership of the copyright of their contributions and agree to a non-exclusive Publishing Agreement with ARISS. Global Politics Review is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). 3. Peer review process:

Global Politics Review adheres to a double-blind peer-reviewing policy where the identity of the reviewer and the author are concealed from both parties. Articles are judged on the basis of originality, argumentation, and prose. Editors reserve the right to make changes to the articles during the editing process. 4. Ownership and Governing Body:

Global Politics Review is published by and answerable to the Association for Research, Innovation and Social Science. The journal has an independent editorial and advisory board. All editors contribute to the journal on a voluntary basis and their work is unpaid. You can find more information about the editorial team at this link.

5. Author fees:


Global Politics Review does not charge a fee at any stage of the publication process (submission of the manuscript, selection of manuscript, peer review, editing, publication, dissemination). Any requests for payment of fees are fraudulent and should be refused and reported.

6. Research misconduct:


Global Politics Review tries to prevent as far as possible any research misconduct from contributors. The journal checks for citation manipulation and data falsification during the peer review process. The journal also uses open source programs to detect plagiarism. We advise contributors to preemptively check their submissions for plagiarism.

7. Conflicts of interest:


Editors of the journal are not allowed to publish papers and essays on Global Politics Review, with the exception of introductory articles and book reviews. Contributors are required to declare any actual or potential conflict of interested as required by our Publishing Agreement.

8. Access:


Global Politics Review is published in digital formats and it is disseminated on its official website and on publishing partners’ repositories. For more information, see the abstracting & indexing page.

9. Article identifiers:


Each article published in Global Politics Review is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and a unique GPR handle structured as: ISSN_Volume_Issue_Firstpage (e.g., 2464-9929_v04_i01_p059).

10. Revenue sources:


Global Politics Review is funded by the Association for Research, Innovation and Social Science via private or institutional donations.

11. Publishing schedule:

The Journal accepts submissions all-year round and publishes them on a rolling basis. Published articles are collected in April and October in two separate issues. If the number of published articles is below 40 per issue, the articles will be collected in a unique volume to be published in December.

12. Archiving and deposit policy:

Global Politics Review preserves offline electronic backups of all published issues and it distributes online copies on its website and on partners’ repositories. In the event that the journal is no longer published, it will continue hosting its archives on open source archival repositories. Currently, all articles are also stored on Zenodo, which is hosted by CERN and has a secure long-term digital archiving policy.
